Team Conspirer
Conspirer
Amid the quiet streets of Carrie Oak Avenue, a secretive faction has begun to emerge. The Conspirers, hidden among their unsuspecting neighbours, seek to sow discord and dismantle the peace. United by cunning and deceit, their goal is to undermine the Neighbours and bring their sinister plans to fruition.
However, even among the Conspirers, trust is a fragile thing. Shifting alliances and personal ambitions mean that betrayal is always a possibility, and only the most careful players will rise to see their schemes succeed.
Cupid
Place two players in love, they will become Lovers and join you on your team.
Protect those players.
If either of them die, you will also die.
Team Lover
Cupid
Among the residents of Carrie Oak Avenue, Cupid stands apart, her intentions neither aligned with the Neighbours nor the Conspirers. With her own secret motives, she weaves through the conflict with the power to alter destinies. Cupid strikes early in the game, choosing two players to join her team, shifting their loyalties away from their original objectives.
Her arrows bind their fates together, creating new alliances and turning the tide of the neighbourhood's struggle. However, those she chooses must navigate their new team carefully and must work in harmony with Cupid to ensure her plans are fulfilled. If either of the chosen lovers meet their demise the link they have with Cupid will ensure that Cupid will share the same fate.
Medium
Work with your ghost to get them killed so you can start getting information from them.
Learn what you can from your dead ghost in the night, but make sure you don't spend too long in the otherworld, spending too long there will result in your DEATH!
You can not win if your ghost survives.
Team Psychic
Medium
Hidden among the residents of Carrie Oak Avenue, the enigmatic Medium walks the line between the living and the dead. Possessing the rare gift of communing with spirits, she can speak to the one player cursed with the ghostly presence. Though she may seem detached from the growing conflict, the Medium has her own agenda. Her survival depends not just on outlasting the chaos, but on ensuring that her ghostly counterpart finds no rest.
Isolated on her own team, the Medium's path to victory is narrow. To succeed, she must navigate the dangers of the living while subtly manipulating events to seal the fate of the dead. Only then can she emerge victorious, with both her life and her secrets intact.
Vigilante
Try and eliminate players that are not on your team. Remember, if you change teams then your targets will also change.
You will only have one bullet. Be careful, if your victim is on your team then you will be riddled with guilt and end up killing yourself!
Team Neighbour
Vigilante
Lurking in the shadows of Carrie Oak Avenue, the Vigilante operates outside the bounds of trust and alliances. Armed with a precious bullet, he possesses the power to instantly eliminate a player of his choosing. However, the weight of his actions bears heavily on him, for if his first shot strikes an innocent teammate, guilt will drive him to also kill himself.
Walking the fine line between justice and ruin, the Vigilante must tread carefully, choosing his targets wisely. His path is one of both potential salvation and self-destruction, as one wrong move could lead to his own undoing.

Teenage Conspirer
Wake up during the night and as a team choose who you want to kill.
That player will die in the morning if another role does not prevent it.
Team Conspirer
Teenage Conspirer
Once an innocent resident of Carrie Oak Avenue, the Teenager's loyalty shatters with the loss of his role model. Now reborn as the Teenage Conspirer, he sheds his former ties to the Neighbours and embraces the darker, scheming ways of the Conspirers. Fueled by anger and betrayal, he is eager to prove his worth within his new faction, using his youthful impulsiveness to stir unrest and chaos.
With a newfound purpose, the Teenage Conspirer works tirelessly to advance the Conspirers' cause. However, his unpredictable nature makes him both a powerful ally and a dangerous wildcard, as his hunger for revenge knows no bounds.
Policeman
Choose one player to be Arrested.
The arrested player will not be able to wake up in the night and perform their role.
They also cannot be killed by the Conspirers or be seen by nosey neighbours.
Team Neighbour
Policeman
Patrolling the darkened streets of Carrie Oak Avenue, the Policeman takes justice into his own hands. By night, he conducts random arrests, preventing players from carrying out their roles that night. Though his intentions are to maintain order, his unpredictable actions can disrupt both allies and enemies alike, causing confusion among the residents.
With no clear pattern to his choices, the Policeman's interventions create an air of uncertainty. His presence may tip the balance of power, but whether he helps or hinders depends entirely on chance -- or perhaps his choices are rooted in reasoning only he knows. In a village rife with secrets, even the law can't be trusted to play by the rules.
Detective
Accuse a player of being a Conspirer. You don't have to if you don't want to.
The players to the left and right of that player will also come under suspicion, even if they are dead.
If none of the three are Conspirers then you will lose your ability to accuse again.
Team Neighbour
Detective
Called in to unravel the mysteries plaguing Carrie Oak Avenue, the Detective steps into a world of intrigue and deception. Though eager to help, her inexperience often leads her down uncertain paths. The clues she gathers rarely paint a complete picture, leaving her to make educated guesses that can sometimes miss the mark. Despite her best efforts, the truth remains elusive, and the pressure mounts.
An accusation of an innocent player will put her credibility on the line. She will be cast from the case, leaving the village to fend for itself, if she accuses the wrong players. The Detective's quest for justice is a race against time, and only her instincts can keep her from falling victim to her own mistakes.

With a keen eye and an insatiable curiosity, she gathers vital information that could change the course of the village's fate.
However, the knowledge she gains comes with its own risks, as the more she knows, the more dangerous her position becomes. The Woman At The Window must decide how to use her insights wisely -- whether to expose the truth or quietly influence events from the shadows.

Team Neighbour
Nurse
Amidst the growing tension on Carrie Oak Avenue, the Nurse stands as a quiet but critical protector. With the ability to save players from the deadly intentions of the Conspirers, she holds a unique power to turn the tide of the conflict. However, her ability to heal is limited. Each night she can craft only one dose of life-saving medicine. If she chooses to save a player, she forfeits her chance to prepare for the following night, leaving her vulnerable to the escalating threats.
The Nurse must balance her actions carefully, deciding when to step in and when to hold back. Her choices could mean life or death for her neighbours, as her medicine is the only thing standing between them and the Conspirers' schemes.

In the shadows of Carrie Oak Avenue, the Butler serves more than just the household. With an uncanny ability to adapt, the Butler can step in at the last moment to take on the role of a player on the brink of death. However, this bold act comes with a risk—he has no knowledge of what the role entails before assuming it. Whether he inherits a position of power or a perilous fate, the Butler's intervention is a gamble.
By taking the place of another, the Butler rewrites his destiny, potentially altering the balance of the entire village. His willingness to step in without hesitation makes him an unpredictable force, one who may either save the day or inadvertently seal his own fate.

Landlord
As the keeper of Carrie Oak Avenue's local establishment, the Landlord has more influence than most realise. He can serve a player just enough to make them drunk, rendering them unable to join in the day's crucial discussions. This ability to silence a voice, even temporarily, can sway the course of events in unpredictable ways. However, the Landlord is bound by a sense of fairness -- he cannot target the same player on consecutive days.
With the power to shape conversations or cut them off entirely, the Landlord's role is both disruptive and strategic, giving him the ability to manipulate the village's dialogue from behind the bar.

Win with your team, whether dead or alive
In Carrie Oak Avenue, alliances are everything. The village is divided into multiple teams, each with its own goals and motives, driving the unfolding conflict. Some teams work to protect the peace, while others seek to create chaos and seize control. Players must navigate shifting loyalties, hidden agendas, and unexpected twists as they try to figure out who is truly on their side.
From the trustworthy Neighbours to the secretive Conspirers, and even the independent players with their own unique win conditions, each team has a crucial role to play. The interactions between these teams define the game, where careful collaboration and well-placed suspicion can lead to triumph—or downfall. Understanding how the teams operate is key to mastering the village's intricate web of strategies.
Psychic Team
The Medium plays on her own team and will only gain a teammate once the player that has the ghost effect dies. To win, the Ghost must die and the Medium must be alive when the game ends. If this happens then the Psychic Team will win.
Lover Team
The Lover team is made up of Cupid and two players who she chooses at the start of the game. To win the game both of the chosen Lovers must survive until the end of the game and this team must have the highest Power Ranking out of the remaining teams.
Conspirer Team
This team consists of a group of players that are randomly chosen at the start of the game. The Conspirers will win if at least one of them survives until the end of the game and this team must have the highest Power Ranking out of the remaining teams.
Neighbour Team
You have two goals, survive and find out who's going around killing everyone. This team is made up of everyone else and they will win if no other team is alive at the end of the game.
Every team has its own Power Ranking level, denoted by the number of stars.
The harder it is to win on that team the higher the Power Ranking.
Learn the effects
Certain characters can effect other characters too
In the intricate web of Carrie Oak Avenue's unfolding drama, certain characters bring special effects into the game. These effects can alter gameplay in significant ways, offering advantages like protection, special powers, or hidden abilities, while others introduce challenges that hinder a player's performance or place them at a disadvantage. Both types of effects can drastically influence the outcome of the game.
The distribution of these effects can shift the balance of power. With the right effect in the right hands -- or a disadvantageous effect placed on an opponent -- victory can be secured, disrupted, or sabotaged. These effects act as wildcards, ensuring that no player can ever be fully certain of what lies ahead in the village's unpredictable game.
Arrested
The policeman will arrest a player every night. The player that they chose will be unable to wake up and perform their duties. Arrested players are released the following morning.
While arrested players will, however, be safe from the Conspirer's gaze meaning they will not be able to be killed. They will also not have their role revealed if the Woman At The Window were to choose them.
Introduced by the Policeman
Death
If you are unlucky enough to cross paths with the Conspirer team and no other role was able to, or did not want to, save you you will unfortnately die.
While you will no longer actively take part in this game it doesn't mean that there's nothing for you to do. You now get the opportunity to watch the rest of the game unfold as you no longer need to go to sleep in the Night Phase; meaning you get all of the information which could help you in the next game you play!
Introduced by the Conspirer
Drunk
While you are drunk you will not be able to take part in the discussion in the Day Phase. You can still act things out and point to things, just no verbal communication. How good are your charade skills?
This effect only lasts one round and you will be immune from it's effects in the following round.
Introduced by the Landlord
Ghost
At the start of the game one player who is given the Neighbour character will also get the Ghost effect. The player who gets this is secretly moved to the Psychic Team.
Their first goal is to get themselves killed, once dead they will have the opportunity to share the information that they discover while watching the game unfold with the Medium. The catch is, they have lost their voice, so must do so silently!
Introduced by the Medium
Lover
When Cupid awakes she will bring two players over to her team. These players now must work in secret to eliminate everyone else. If they both make it to the end of the game then they, and Cupid, will win.
They will not know who Cupid is, this will be one of their main objectives within the game. If one of these players dies then Cupid will also die which will mean the end of the Lover team.
Introduced by Cupid
Role Model
This is a secret effect and the player that receives it will not know they have it. At the start of the game the Teenager will pick a Role Model, if that player were to die then the Teenager will be upgraded to the Teenage Conspirer.
Introduced by the Teenager
Shield
Unique to the Ringleader, one of their skills is to gain a Shield. This will give whoever is playing the Ringleader immunity for this turn. They will not be able to be voted out.
The shield is removed at the start of the next night.
Introduced by the Ringleader
Stun
Similar to being Arrested, being Stuned will also stop the player waking up in the night, meaning they will not be able to perform their role.
Unlike being arrested being stunned affords no reprieve to the player, they will still be able to be killed and their role will be shown to the Woman At The Window if they are chosen.
Introduced by the Ringleader
Subdue
Much like being Drunk being Subdued will also disable the recipients ability to talk in the day time. It will be removed at the start of the next night.
However, unlike being made Drunk this effect can be given to the same player multiple times in a row, even if they were also just Drunk.
Introduced by the Ringleader
Sweetheart
Cupid still makes two players fall in love like usual but outside of her control the sweethearts move in the shadows. Two randomly selected players, one from the chosen lovers and one from the rest of the group, become Sweethearts and have the opportunity to win the game by themselves.
If the first Lover death is not one of the Sweethearts then the effect starts. Cupid will die but the Lover team may remain in the game, if the other sweetheart still lives they will join their partner on the Lover team.
If the sweethearts emerge victorious Cupid will not win.
Introduced by Cupid
Understand the Phases
Each phase of the game is important
Introduction Phase
Once the game begins every player will be assigned one of the Characters at random. Some characters are unique and can only be played in special games.
During this phase you can view the character that you will be playing. This is also the best time to ask any questions that you may have about the game. Our Hosts are trained to be able to give enough information to you so that you can enjoy the game but not so much that it'll spoil your experience.
Night Phase
After everybody knows what character they will be playing and what team they are on the first Night Phase can begin. Once started everybody will close their eyes and will keep them closed unless the Host asks them to open them.
Throughout the night the Host will ask specific characters to wake up and perform their role. This includes Conspirers, who will choose people to die, Cupid, who will choose players to join her team and some of the neighbour team, who can help to save or help to solve the mystery of the game.
Even though alive players need to keep their eyes closed if you have died but still want to watch, which we actively recommend, you get to see the whole game play out. Which could be invaluable the next time you play!
Day Phase
After the night comes the day. The Day Phase will start with the revealing of what happened in the night; with the most important thing being who died.
When the day begins this is your chance to gather as much information as you can and to find out who your teammates are, if you don't already know them. You can say whatever you like; so take the time to play out your suspicions or start to forge new alliances.
The only people who are not allowed to talk are those that have died or if you have an Effect that prohibits you from doing so.
Vote Phase
Voting is the only way to kill a Conspirer. If you are not on the Conspirer team you need to work together with those you hope are on your team and rally together to vote out the killers.
Voting takes place individually. Every player left alive has the opportunity to vote for who they want to but they also get the opportunity to abstain and skip the vote. If 50% or more of the players do vote and a single player gets the most votes, that player will die.
Once voting is complete another Night Phase will begin.
End Game
A full, 16 player game will play down to either one remaining team, or 4 remaining players
When there are 4 remaining players, the team with the highest power ranking will win.
